Who is running this country anyway? That is, who is in charge of making things run, or in the case of Katrina, for example, getting help to those who need it desperately? Apparently, nobody, or at least nobody seems to know who is supposed to do what or what it is they should do even to find out what to do and who to do it. A sergeant in the army would know what to do. I was in the army; I know what to do. It’s called airdrop. If you can’t get there by truck, or you’re too chicken shit because a desperate soul fired a gun, fly in the C47s and the choppers. These people simply need food and water now. Fly over and drop MREs and water by parachute, for Christ’s sake. Just throw it out there, where they can get it. We (and I use that word advisedly) can kill women and children in Iraq, no problem, but we can’t save women and children here in our own country. How sad, how pathetic is that? Wake the fuck up Washington. Wake the fuck up Pentagon. Wake the fuck up and smell your own dirty bleeding assholes. Then fucking do something. When you stop and think about it, it’s scary. Our government can’t handle this? What would they do in a real homeland security catastrophe? It’s enough to make you want to get the fuck out of here now.
