Dots

The President’s insistent whining that he’s connected all the dots sounds more like a petulant child whose dog ate his lunch. He hasn’t connected any stinking dots. After 9/11 all he’s done is jump the shark and squander our national resources killing thousands more Americans and innocent Iraqi civilians than any terrorist could hope to in a lifetime. And for what? Right now our domestic front is in disarming disarray, and nobody seems to be alarmed. Why is that? In the news today, for example, retirement benefits are said to be overcoming the capacities of local and state governments to fulfill them. Health care is out of control. The federal budget deficit appears to be overwhelming. Will all this inevitably lead to a deep depression? Unable or unwilling to answer, Congress is coagulated, unable to move in any meaningful direction except deeper into debt — economically and morally. What a mess. Where is the vision, the leadership, a brain larger than a pea?
