Lieberman, what are you smoking? Of course the Iraq mission is failing, and yes we have fomented a civil war and further untold mideast turmoil, so to speak. This idiotic, inept mission was doomed from the outset. What didn't you get then, and what don't you get now? Instead of pursuing the terrorists (say, Osama bin Laden and other Saudi al Quaedum) or even securing our homeland, the administration chose to dodge the bullet and attack a country out in left field that was virtually secure against terrorists and thereby opened the floodgates for them to create yet another haven for their operations to flourish and spread. And you all stood there beside him, in support, as he announced this folly. Were you all smoked by W.M.D., or just smoking them? But then you and your colleagues can't even (or just don't) address our own domestic disorders, such as retirement, health care, emergency preparedness, energy, and a stupifying federal budget deficit. Republican sophomoric and spendthrift policies are once again depressing our great nation, not only at home but vastly abroad. Hello. And that same Republican power base (aka the military-industrial complex) just parties on. Bet you can do lunch though, right? "To the tables down in Arlington, to the place where Rummy dwells..."
